I moved to Sydney three years ago for my Masters and I’ve basically lived at my desk the whole time. My hips always felt tight, my shoulders were stiff, and I didn’t know where to start. Gyms here intimidated me and Pilates was too expensive. Wen made everything feel simple. Her instructions are clear, gentle, and in Mandarin when I need it. After just a few sessions, I noticed small changes. less back pain, better posture, and I actually feel more confident walking into class. It’s the first time I feel like my mind and body are finally working together.
I’ve tried two yoga studios in Sydney before, but I always felt out of place. The atmosphere wasn’t welcoming, and everyone seemed advanced already. This studio is different. Everyone starts at the same level and Wen creates such a calm, encouraging environment. You never feel embarrassed asking questions. The Mandarin support helps a lot, because sometimes I don’t know the English names for certain movements. I’ve also made two new friends from class, I didn’t expect but really appreciate.”
I work in accounting and spend 8–10 hours a day at the computer. Shoulder pain became ‘normal’ for me. I used to get massages regularly but it never lasted more than a few days. After joining the Shoulder & Arms module, I finally understood the root cause of my posture issues. Wen’s corrections are so detailed, she notices small habits and teaches you how to fix them. By the end of week three, I could sleep better, breathe deeper, and my neck felt lighter. This was the first real improvement I’ve felt in years.
I’ve always been shy about fitness. Back in China, I never went to gyms, so the idea of joining a class in Sydney was honestly scary. I worried I was too unfit or that I wouldn’t understand the instructions. The beginner classes here changed that. Everything is taught at a pace I can follow, and Wen always checks in to make sure I’m comfortable. The environment feels friendly, not intimidating. And instead of feeling judged, I feel supported.
I wanted to try Pilates because my friends said it tones your body, but the prices were just too high. When I found these functional yoga classes, I decided to try the free trial first. I was surprised how effective it was. The movements look simple but activate muscles I’ve never felt before. After two weeks, my waistline looks tighter, my hips feel more open, and my posture is noticeably better. For the price and the quality of teaching, nothing else in Sydney comes close
“I’ve tried yoga a few times in the past but it always leaned too spiritual for me — lots of chanting, meditation, and not much movement. I wanted something that actually improved how my body feels. Wen’s classes are exactly that. Clear, structured, and very functional. As someone who works long hours in tech, I needed something that fixes posture and shoulder stiffness, not another relaxation class. What surprised me most is how beginner-friendly it is. Even though many students speak Mandarin, Wen explains everything in English as well, so I never felt out of place. You can tell she really knows how the body works.
I joined because the studio was close to home, but I stayed because of the atmosphere. I’m not a naturally flexible person and I’ve avoided yoga for years because I assumed I’d look silly. From day one, Wen made me feel comfortable. The classes are small, the corrections are gentle, and the focus is on learning, not performing. It’s honestly one of the most supportive fitness environments I’ve been in. I’ve also noticed real changes especially in my hips and lower back. I move more freely now, and it’s helped a ton with my running technique.
When I first came to Sydney, I wanted to exercise but didn’t dare to join any classes. Everyone at the gym looked so experienced and confident. I didn’t want to be the only beginner who didn’t know what to do. This studio was completely different. Wen explains everything slowly, demonstrates clearly, and never makes you feel judged. The environment is warm and familiar, and the Mandarin guidance makes it easy to understand the movements. I’ve already recommended it to three of my friends because it’s the first time I’ve felt truly comfortable exercising in Australia.
I sit for long hours at my financial job, and I developed a noticeable hunchback over the years. I tried massages and physio but nothing lasted. A friend told me about this studio because they focus on posture, not just stretching. After a few weeks, my coworkers asked me if I got taller — that’s how visible the change was. My shoulders opened up, my neck feels lighter, and my breathing is deeper. Wen explains exactly why each posture matters and how it fixes daily habits. That level of detail made all the difference. I’ve never learned this in any other class.
